Following the award-winning success of its first season, which surpassed 220,000 downloads this year, The Mitie Podcast returns for a second series. Over four weekly episodes, the podcast spotlights some of the most unique and interesting places where Mitie operates – revealing how exceptional people and cutting-edge technology are transforming environments and shaping the future of high-performing places.

Hosted by FM experts Chris Moriarty and Ian Ellison, also known for presenting The Workplace Geeks podcast, the series will take a behind the scenes look at locations across the UK, including Heathrow Airport in London, Boulby Underground Laboratory in York – which is the UK’s only deep underground science facility – and Mitie’s Intelligent Security Operations Centre (ISOC) in Northampton. They also explore how offices and workspaces can be designed to boost productivity and create high-performing environments.

Listeners will hear from leading industry voices, including generational diversity expert Dr Paul Redmond, who discusses how businesses can build multigenerational workspaces where colleagues of all ages thrive. Jason Towse, Managing Director, Business Services, Mitie, also shares how data-led, intelligent security, powered by Mitie’s ISOC, is helping to create safer communities.

Other episodes explore how organisations like Mitie are uniquely well placed to deliver social impact at scale, helping to create high-performing places by championing inclusive recruitment and creating local employment opportunities. Helen Longfils, Group Director of Social Value, Mitie, highlights the vital role organisations play as a force for good within the communities they serve. Meanwhile, Gareth Rees, Director of Enterprise Technology, Mitie, discusses the importance of organisations taking a responsible, ethical approach to technology and AI – as well as his vision for the future of spaces.

The success of the podcast’s first series was recognised with a prestigious Gold Drum B2B Award, celebrating excellence across media.

Kevin Tyrrell, Chief Growth Officer, Mitie, said:

“We are excited to be returning for a second series of The Mitie Podcast following a fantastic response to the first series. Across the four episodes, listeners will discover how we use technology-driven insights to make spaces smarter, safer and high-performing, transforming the places where millions of us live, work, and travel.”

Ian Ellison, Host, Workplace Geeks, said:

“One of the real privileges of this series has been exploring places that the public are rarely able to experience first hand. Gaining this access allowed us to consider 'high performance’ from different angles. Through the voices of the people working in these environments, we’ve come to understand not just how they operate, but the how they impact the places we work and live in more broadly.”
