MITIE, the strategic outsourcing and asset management company has picked up several awards at the prestigious fifth South West Financial & Corporate Communications Awards, which was held on Thursday 6 November at Jury’s Hotel, Bristol. 

MITIE won the overall Best Financial and Corporate Communications Award (Main Market) as well as winning two category awards - Best Website and Best Commitment to Environmental and Social Responsibility. MITIE were also highly commended in four other award categories including Best Annual Report, Best Board Communications, Best Media Communications and Best Commitment to Reducing Carbon Footprint. 

The awards recognise best practice stakeholder communications amongst quoted, private and not-for-profit organisations headquartered in the South West. 

The judges for the awards included seventeen of the region’s leading experts in their fields and representatives from the Investor Relations Society, Business in the Community, Smith & Williamson and the Institute of Fundraising.
