Joseph Thompson, of Mitie’s Total Security Management (TSM) business, has been awarded the prestigious British Security Industry Association (BSIA) National Security Personnel Award for ‘Service to the Customer’. The control room manager picked up the award for his exceptional customer service to Bristol City Council at BSIA’s Annual Luncheon.
The esteemed BSIA awards, now in their 18th year, serve to acknowledge the successes and achievements made by individuals and teams working in the private security industry.
Joseph was recognised as someone who is consistently proactive, striving for efficiencies and has developed a trusting relationship with the customer who listens to his recommendations and values his input on various areas of security.
This has been particularly evident in the way he has project managed the installation of 27 different CCTV cameras over the past year. Working closely with Bristol City Council and the police, Joseph identified areas where there is a requirement for CCTV cameras, conducting technical assessments and obtaining quotes for the work through to final installation and monitoring of the camera so that it meets its operational requirements.
Joseph commented on his win: “I am very pleased to receive this award. I love my job and work with some wonderful people. It feels great to be recognised for my role through this award and I look forward to continuing to provide a quality service to Bristol City Council.”
