MITIE is pleased to announce that they have recently secured a three year contract with the Airline Operators Committee at Bristol International Airport making the company the sole supplier for hold baggage screening.
The contract, which commenced on 9 July 2007, involves a dedicated team of 26 security specialists working 24 hours per day undertaking multi-stage screening of all hold baggage, prior to it being loaded onto departing aircraft.
The success builds upon a thirteen year relationship within aviation at Bristol International Airport and further enhances MITIE’s position as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of security to the aviation and transportation sectors. MITIE currently has significant contracts operating at Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton airports.
