Mitie’s Painting business scooped two major awards at this year’s Painting and Decorating Association’s (PDA) Premier Trophy Awards.
The company was the overall winner of the Judges Special Award for Excellence and also won the Highly Decorative Award for Mitie Painting’s work at the Lyceum Theatre in Sheffield.
The awards were presented at the Painting and Decorating Association’s 27th annual Premier Trophy Awards, in front of hundreds of representatives from the industry. The stunning Plaisterers’ Hall, London, home to the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers, provided an elegant setting for the ceremony.
The Judges Special Award for Excellence was awarded for Mitie Painting’s promotion of the painting and decorating industry to a wide audience, as well as the priority it gives to staff training and health and safety.
Neil Ogilvie, Chief Executive of the PDA, said: “In working with clients the judges have noted that Mitie Painting goes above and beyond what is expected. These are well deserved accolades for the firm.”
As well as securing both accolades, Mitie Painting swept the board in other categories, taking Highly Commended and Commended accolades for a variety of projects.
Neill Benham, Mitie Painting’s Customer Excellence Manager, said: “It’s fantastic news that we have won these awards from the PDA. We continually strive to provide outstanding quality in all projects. We are absolutely delighted that our work has been recognised in this way.”
Crown Paints was the main sponsor of this year’s Premier Trophy Awards, with CITB, Purdy, Brewers, Dulux Trade, Toupret, Pro Décor, Graco, B &CE, and Johnstone’s Trade also supporting the event.
