The total security management (TSM) business of Mitie, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcing and energy services company, has today announced that it is launching a specialist void property security service for vacant commercial premises.
This launch builds on Mitie’s TSM offering providing a fully integrated suite of response services and remote monitoring for out of hours security.
The current and predicted future economic climate indicates that occupier demand is weak, increasing the security risks and costs related to vacant property. A high percentage of property managers are expecting the level of empty property to increase and this higher level of risk is leading to some insurers being reluctant to provide cover.
Mitie’s void secure team will deliver a complete range of services to secure vacant commercial properties including manned services, mobile patrols, insurance inspections, screening and fencing, lock changes and utility services disconnections to name a few. This will provide clients with a complete void property security solution.
Mitie will also provide 24-hour monitored protection of empty buildings by combining state of the art wireless alarm systems which are monitored 24/7 by MiTec, Mitie’s 24-hour CAT II BS 5979 technology centre, which can be responded to in real time.
