MITIE, the strategic outsourcing and asset management company is pleased to announce a new risk-based security tool. This has been developed to provide a bespoke risk management approach to clients’ security needs. 

The Security Profile and Risk Calculator (SPARC) has been designed to provide a thorough security audit of a location at a given snapshot in time. It provides a realistic and holistic analysis of the current security strengths and weaknesses at a client’s premises which can then inform practical recommendations. Encompassing threat evaluation, key drivers for spend and police crime mapping, this unique tool forms part of a wider risk consultancy offering from MITIE.

SPARC will enable MITIE’s risk team to complete in depth risk evaluations for clients not only highlighting potential security issues, but providing evaluations against a client’s expenditure in terms of best practice and efficiency. The analysis is tailored to the client’s specific business function and type of location e.g. commercial, aviation or retail to name a few. With a live link to a reference library for every aspect of security, MITIE’s clients will benefit from industry leading information. 

The SPARC tool will produce prioritised and measured recommendations on risk mitigation measures compliant with relevant security related British Standards, legislative requirements and current industry best practice. The whole approach is based on a risk management framework as defined by the new British Standards on risk management.
