Mitie, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcing and energy services company, has secured a new three-year contract with University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.
University Hospital Southampton provides healthcare to 1.3 million people living in Southampton and South Hampshire, as well as specialist services in neurosciences, cardiac services and children’s intensive care.
As a major centre for teaching and research, and as one of the largest acute hospitals in the UK, the hospital needed a security provider with proven experience in the health sector with the capability to also provide car park management.
Following a competitive tender process, Mitie’s Total Security Management business was awarded the contract based on its expertise in the sector, strong presence in the Southampton area, and ability to add value to the hospital through the delivery of a bespoke security awareness training package.
