MITIE, the strategic outsourcing company, is proud to announce it has recently been awarded the integrated facilities management (FM) contract by the world-famous Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden, home to The Royal Opera and The Royal Ballet.
The Royal Opera House was impressed with MITIE’s integrated FM proposition which brings together soft facilities management service capabilities such as security and cleaning services with technical facilities management skills. Over 100 MITIE people will operate around the clock to deliver services which include engineering, cleaning, security, telephony, mail and reprographics. The contract is valued at £19m and is for a five-year period.
The Royal Opera House began a six month tender process with a view to developing a consolidated approach to their FM service delivery. MITIE was able to demonstrate to the Royal Opera House its ability to deliver the tendered services under one contract, combining exceptional service levels befitting the magnificent Royal Opera House along with significant operating and energy efficiencies.
