Mitie appoints Maria Winn as new Chief Marketing Officer

  • Mitie has announced the appointment of its new Chief Marketing Officer, Maria Winn 
  • Leading the Group Marketing Team, Maria will have responsibility for Mitie’s brand, propositions, digital, content and marketing operations 

Mitie, the UK’s leading facilities management company, has appointed marketing veteran Maria Winn, formerly Maria Cameron, as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Maria brings over 20 years of experience to Mitie, having led marketing teams for businesses including BT, Ford Motor Company and Vodafone. She is also the founder of a successful strategic marketing consultancy and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). 

Maria will lead the Group Marketing Team for Mitie, with her responsibilities including its brand, propositions, digital, content and marketing operations, in support of the business’s broader corporate strategy and growth plans. Her focus will be on increasing awareness of Mitie’s growing services with existing clients and further enhancing its position as the market leader in the facilities management industry. This includes Mitie’s commitment to sustainability and decarbonising Britain through its Plan Zero commitment to achieve net zero carbon for its operational emissions by 2025 and support its customers in decarbonising their businesses.   

Having begun her career as a Mechanical Engineer at Ford Motor Company, Maria is a strong advocate for women in STEM careers, and passionate champion of issues relating to diversity and inclusion.

Maria Winn joined Mitie on Monday 13 September and replaces former CMO Chris Copeland.  

Mitie has an award-winning marketing team, having receive several industry awards for its work, including Best Website at the UK Digital Experience Awards, Best Multi-Channel Campaign at the B2B Marketing Awards, and Bronze Award for Direction at the EVCOM Industry Awards.
