Mitie’s Total Security Management business is celebrating two award wins at this year’s Security & Fire Excellence Awards.
Now in their eighteenth year, the prestigious awards have consistently broken new ground in highlighting the very best people, projects and processes that the security and fire sectors have to offer.
The first accolade awarded to Mitie was in the Best Deployment of Lone Worker technology category, in recognition of its unique offering with its partner Lone Worker Solutions.
The judges were impressed with the solution implemented at Northumbrian Water, which demonstrated how the device agnostic solutions have enabled the client to protect all of its lone workers, resulting in improved organisational culture and its employees feeling valued and looked after.
The second win was for Mitie security manager, Jason Costello, who picked up the award for Security Manager of the Year, for the innovation and technology enhancements he brings to the Oxford Brookes University contract.
Notably, Jason has developed a number of new student engagement campaigns, including security awareness sessions, security bike marking, and international arrival engagement; all of which has prompted students to think about their property and safe behaviour on University’s premises.
Jason Towse, Managing Director for Total Security Management commented: “I am delighted with our wins; it was a fantastic event and I am extremely proud of the entire team. These awards are as a result of everyone’s hard work throughout the year.”
The Security & Fire Excellence Awards took place on Wednesday 23 November at London Hilton on Park Lane.
