Interserve Group Limited, the international support services, construction and equipment services group, has been awarded a £3.6 million contract to deliver cleaning services and pest control at the campus of Autonoma University of Madrid.
The company already has a strong presence in Madrid, delivering contracts to the Computense University of Madrid.
The one-year contract, which has the option to be extended by a further year, involves the delivery of cleaning services, pest control, the replenishment and maintenance of hygiene, bacteriostatic and air freshener containers and waste management services in several university buildings.
Interserve established a Spanish FM business in 1978 which initially focused on cleaning services in the transportation sector. The business has since expanded to include: hospitals, educational settings, industrial premises, shopping centres and offices.
Capabilities have also expanded to include total facilities management services such as: customer attention, maintenance, concierge and services consisting of providing easy access for people with reduced mobility. Interserve has developed a specialism complying with Spanish disability legislation and maintaining environments that enable easy access.
