Interserve awarded £60 million facilities services contract with JLL

Interserve, the international support services and construction group, has been awarded a facilities management services contract worth £60 million over its initial three year term with commercial and residential property services company JLL.

Interserve will provide integrated facilities services at 18 shopping centres managed by JLL across the UK. Over 300 people will TUPE transfer to Interserve to deliver cleaning, security, customer services, pest control, window cleaning and electronic security system maintenance.

The account also includes the provision of standalone cleaning services for a number of JLL’s offices across central London, worth approximately £9.5 million per annum.

Services will be delivered using Interserve’s LEAN model, which focuses on improving service delivery and maximising cost savings, by implementing new innovations across the business. Interserve’s commitment to innovation and its long-term relationship with JLL were key factors in the awarding of the contract.

Duncan Cross, Retail Management, Operations Director at JLL, said:

“We’ve successfully worked with Interserve for a number of years and feel the awarding of our integrated package is a very positive step for our portfolio. Interserve’s combination of innovative technology, and ‘one-team’ ethos, underpinned by their dedicated shopping centre operation, will allow us to implement our change programme to maintain JLL at the forefront of shopping centre management.”

Adrian Ringrose, Chief Executive at Interserve, said:

“We have a proven track record of delivering exceptional standards of service at the shopping centres and offices where we work – and doing so cost-effectively, thanks to our LEAN approach and our integration expertise.

“We have a strong relationship with JLL having provided a range of facilities management solutions to them for many years. We look forward to helping JLL create the best possible experience for visitors and employees at their nationwide shopping centres and workplaces across the capital.” Interserve is one of the leading providers of facilities services to the retail sector and manages services at 60 shopping centres across the UK. The company has a dedicated shopping centre team that self-delivers many services to clients across the sector.
