Mitie extends 26 year FM partnership with North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust

Mitie has extended its 26-year Facilities Management partnership with North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC), delivering critical services including cleaning, maintenance, security, patient catering, and portering services
The contract will see a further rollout of Mitie’s smart portering service to support day-to-day tasks, including delivering key equipment and waste management
Mitie will provide engineering apprenticeship opportunities over the year and dedicate up to 1,000 volunteering hours to support the local community and healthcare charities

Custom Solar, part of Mitie, and Zestec have partnered with Merlin Entertainments to deliver a 1.2MW solar carport at LEGOLAND® Windsor, producing over 1.1m kWh of clean power annually and cutting over 190 tonnes of carbon emissions per year
The solar carport now supplies onsite renewable electricity directly to the resort and improves guest experience with shaded parking
The project demonstrates Custom Solar’s ability to deliver large scale, on site renewable infrastructure, reducing grid reliance and supporting lower carbon, more resilient operations in visitor environments

Custom Solar, part of Mitie Power & Grid, has broken ground on a £3.9 million solar installation at Bassingbourn Barracks in Royston, Cambridgeshire, for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) on behalf of the British Army
The solar installation will produce around 2.2mWp of renewable electricity per year, enough to power the equivalent of 800 UK homes annually
The project builds on Mitie Power & Grid’s successful delivery of a solar installation at Weeton Barracks in Lancashire, which became operational earlier this year
